Rachael Peterson is currently the Medical Affairs Advisor for Alcon Australia and New Zealand. In this role she works across both Surgical and Vision Care areas to provide patient advice, clinical trial support and eye-care education. Her background as a hospital optometrist from the UK led to an early interest in ocular surface research, and she has designed or contributed to numerous clinical trials, over 20 peer-reviewed publications, and invited presentations all over the world. Her work has enabled her to live in the UK, Canada and then Australia since 2010, where she has held the positions of Senior Clinical Scientist and Program Leader at the Brien Holden Vision Institute and Visiting member of Faculty at UNSW.
